Individual Therapy
A supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions, past, and relationships, so they can grow in understanding of what it means for them to be fully themselves.
Individual Therapy offers a supportive environment to explore your emotions, your past, and your relationships, and how these affect who you are today. Using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, together we cultivate a space where you can deepen your understanding of who you are and how you can grow.
This is a great space to work through past trauma or present difficulties that you may be facing. It is also a space to explore burnout, change, or anxiety in a safe, open environment.
Individual therapy provides a supportive space to explore how your past and present shape your emotions and relationships. Together, we’ll identify limiting patterns, enhance your coping skills, and create opportunities for clarity and choice in your life.
Youth & Adolescent Therapy
An engaging space for youth to work through high-pressure struggles, including anxiety, grief, peer conflict, or stress, cultivating their emerging sense of self.
Youth and Adolescent Therapy approaches each session with creative, developmentally appropriate activities such as expressive arts, drama and movement, storytelling, and games.
This type of therapy offers support for those who may be having difficulty coping with transitions or loss, as well as for those struggling with identity and their emerging sense of self. It provides an engaging space to build confidence and develop emerging social and life skills.
Youth and adolescent therapy provides a supportive space for young people to express themselves through play, movement, creativity, or conversation. We explore big feelings and age-appropriate tools to help them build confidence in their growing sense of self.

Relationship Therapy
Spaces for two or more people (romantic partners, siblings, parent-child, chosen families, etc.) to process hardship, change, or conflict in their relationship with a supportive third party.
Relationship Therapy is for relationships of all expressions, including romantic, familial (chosen, parent-child, sibling), and other relationships. Unlike individual therapy, it involves seeing two or more people at a time as you work through interpersonal challenges.
This type of session provides support through several challenges, including conflict, sexuality, parenting, separation and divorce, infidelity, grief and loss, life transitions, mental health, and attachment.
Working with a third party creates a neutral space to work through challenges together. All attendees receive support and are given tools and language to work through future conflicts and challenges together.

What to Expect
Starting therapy for the first time can be confusing or overwhelming. Here is a guide of what you can expect working with me from our first contact to our last goodbye.
1
First Contact
You are welcome to contact us by email, phone, or through our contact form [link to contact page]. After we receive your message, we will respond within 24 to 48 hours to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.
2
Consultation
During the phone call, we will briefly discuss what is prompting you to seek care now and how Field Psychotherapy & Counselling can assist you in achieving your goals and needs. We will also identify possible next steps, including booking a session.
3
Intake Process
Before our first session, you will be invited to create a profile in our user-friendly EHR system, which will be used to manage appointments and sessions. You will also receive a brief intake form to complete beforehand that outlines essential information about you. This form will also include additional details about our policies, procedures, confidentiality, and what to expect.
4
Initial Sessions
The initial sessions focus on getting to know you and what you are seeking help for. Together, we will evaluate your needs and goals and collaboratively develop a treatment plan.
5
Ongoing Therapy
Once we develop a plan, we will begin regular sessions. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and scheduled at regular intervals based on your needs and goals.
6
Continued Support
As we work together, we will regularly check in to review progress and ensure the treatment plan continues to align with your goals. Your feedback is welcome, and adjustments or accommodations can always be made as needed if circumstances change.
7
Good Endings
When our work together comes to an end or needs to be paused, you are encouraged to book a complimentary final session. This allows us to reflect on your therapeutic progress, ensure you feel equipped with resources for the future, and to say goodbye.
